Large-Scale Painting Project — CAA, Hangzhou, China
This large-format painting project was developed in collaboration with the third-year Illustration students at the CAA. Together, we explored the themes of dreams and the subconscious, reflecting on how the universe of dreams can be visually represented through different cultural and personal lenses.
During the workshop, the students created conceptual illustrations inspired by my own visual approach. From their ideas, I developed a unified composition that merged their diverse interpretations into a single piece.
Over three days of collective work, we painted the final artwork across three monumental canvases of 4 x 3 meters each. The mural was later presented during the vernissage of the Franco-Chinese festival Balade Onirique – Art au lac de l’Ouest in Hangzhou.
This project became a true dialogue between my artistic vision and the students’ creativity — a shared exploration of the dream world within the cultural and urban context of Hangzhou.
