This mural was created as part of the ongoing urban transformation of the Val Fourré neighborhood in Mantes-la-Jolie. Commissioned by P.A.L.M, the project involved designing a piece for the three entrance shutters of the Le Chaplin cultural center — a mural that would resonate with the area’s evolution.

The intention was to reflect the spirit of change while also preserving a visual trace of the neighborhood’s present-day identity — a working-class district defined by its high-rise architecture and strong community character. The artwork also highlights future ambitions to expand local green spaces, echoing the nearby Parc du Vexin and the neighborhood's desire for openness and renewal.

Visually, the mural was conceived in a geometric and simplified style, making it accessible and meaningful across all generations of local residents.

The final piece brings together lines, shapes, and colors in a dynamic composition — with a bold sunrise rising between the buildings and antennas, symbolizing a new chapter for the neighborhood.
